About the HFBC Missions Ministry
The missions ministry of Helen First Baptist Church is modeled after the pattern of Acts 1:8. Jesus told the disciples, “You shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest parts of the earth.” Missions and evangelism are not a separate task that we do, but an integral part of every ministry. Our concern is that everyone in Helen and White County, Georgia, North America, and the world will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
NATIONAL - In January 2016, Helen FBC adopted St. Rose Community Church in New Orleans as a mission partnership. Under the leadership of pastor Brandon Langley, St Rose is working to revitalize the church and reach the community in Kenner, a town northwest of New Orleans. We are excited about our partnership with St. Rose. It is exciting to hear the reports of how the community is responding to the presence of St. Rose church. We look forward to seeing how God will continue to move as pastor Brandon and St Rose reach this community with the light of the gospel.
INTERNATIONAL - Helen FBC has been engaged in long term partnerships in Kenya and Tanzania Since 2002, HFBC members have served on mission teams and as full-time missionaries in Kenya, Tanzania, Ecuador, Haiti, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Brazil, China, Honduras, Indonesia, Mexico, the Middle East, Nicaragua, Peru, Romania, and Russia.
