Chris Barnard

After the youth service, on the second week of February, 2001, at the age of 12, at Dayspring Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. I walked down to the altar after the prompting of the Holy Spirit during the invitation to surrender my life to Christ and to receive Jesus as my Lord! Through many great times and trials He has remained faithful and true! He is the constant in my life, my ever present counsel and help!

Born on January 8, 1989, and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, I am the middle child of eight children. I graduated from Truett-McConnell College with a Bachelors degree in Biblical and Theological Studies in 2011. Upon graduation I married my beautiful bride Courtney Barnard (whom I could not fulfill my calling without!). The Lord blessed us with the opportunity to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where I will be receiving my Advanced Masters of Divinity degree in the near future.

In 2004, God began to stir in my heart a call to ministry which would later be confirmed in the summer of 2006, when I surrendered my life to the ministry. While in high school, the Lord provided many avenues for me to preach at local churches and youth events in Warner Robins as well as to preach on the foreign mission field in Mexico.

I have been honored to serve on staff at Oakland Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia (2007-2008), Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas (2013-2014), and at Helen First Baptist (2014- Present).

My ministry philosophy and commitment:

  • To partner with parents in leading students to Christ and helping support the parents' efforts in discipling their children to be committed followers of Jesus.
  • To help college students lay a biblical foundation for their lives while in college.
  • To assist the pastor in helping to implement the church's vision in both the youth and college ministries.
