What to Expect on a Sunday Morning at HFBC
Clothing ranges from casual to more traditional “Sunday” dress. It’s really not a big deal to most people here.
Feel free to park in the visitor parking spots across from the main entrance.
Enter through the main entrance near the flagpole. Other entrances are locked for your safety.
In our lobby, you’ll meet friendly people to help you find your way.
The multicolored “Connect” Wall in the main hallway has ministry information.
Before Sunday school, you can find coffee in the Connect Room located across from the first-floor restrooms.
Check out our list of Sunday school groups. Groups meet from around 9:15 until 10:15.
Worship begins at 10:30. Be sure to get a bulletin on the way in.
We ask everyone (including members) to complete the connect card attached to the bulletin each week. Connect cards help us care for both regular attenders and first-time guests. You can put your completed card in the offering basket when it comes around.
We enjoy a blend of musical styles and instruments each week. We’ll sing hymns you may recognize as well as newer songs that you might have heard on Christian radio.
Children in Grades K-3 are free to attend Children’s Church after the music portion of the service. (We’ll let you know when it’s time.) First-time guests should accompany children to the lobby to check in with a leader. Parents pick up kids after the service in Room 208 (located upstairs).
Pastor Jim brings a message from the Bible each week. You can hear previous sermons here.
There is a time of invitation at the close of the service for people to respond to God’s leading in their life. There is no pressure to respond, but we prefer that people not leave during this time in order to minimize distractions.
After the service, we would love for you to meet Pastor Jim in our Connect Room. Stop by for a brief visit and a small gift.
